Dennis Earl Waller, 63, of Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away on December 21, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on March 8, 1960, in Lawton. Dennis was a mechanic by trade, working alongside his father in their garage on "G" Ave in Lawton. He had a passion for fixing anything with a motor and transmission, and he particularly enjoyed working on LPD police cars back in the day.
One of Dennis's favorite hobbies was coon hunting. He would venture out with his father Hix and their dog companions Joe and Rusty, creating lasting memories while chasing raccoons throughout the night. Dennis lived a life with no expectations, like a wild horse that could not be tamed. He had a memory like an elephant he never forgot anything and was known for his storytelling abilities, always captivating those around him.
Above all, Dennis cherished his children. He had a deep love for them and made sure to stay in touch, always making time for phone calls day or night. He was a caring father.
Dennis is survived by his four children and grandson: Amanda Waller of Ohio, Dennis Waller Jr of Massachusetts, Levi Waller-Kerr and her son Liam Ward of Michigan, and Brandin Ceyte of California. He is also survived by his sister, Virginia Lee Fisk of Massachusetts, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Hix Lee Waller; mother, Florance Lee Waller; brother, Johnny Wayne South; brother, Hix Lee Waller Jr.; and sister, Patricia Ann Smalley, along with her son Lanny Smalley, whom Dennis adored.
At this time, no services will be held to honor Dennis's life.
The Hopkins Reynalds Funeral Home in Collinsville, Oklahoma, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
